James L. Mohr, JD, CPA

Mr. Mohr is a partner in the Milwaukee CPA firm of Mohr CPAs LLP which he founded in January 2001. Jim established the firm upon leaving the Milwaukee office of KPMG LLP, where he had worked since June 1975. While at KPMG, Jim was a tax partner serving financial institutions and was in charge of the Milwaukee office financial planning practice. Jim has made numerous presentations, including a presentation to the Bank Administration Institute’s Annual Tax Conference, presentations to the Wisconsin chapter of the Tax Executive Institute and Wisconsin Institute of CPAs Annual Tax Conference. He has also authored an article for Taxation for Accountants and Taxation for Lawyers. Jim previously taught as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Masters in Taxation program teaching courses in Executive Compensation and Partnership Taxation.

Mr. Mohr is a member of the American and Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Milwaukee Tax Club and the Milwaukee Estate Planning Forum. Jim earned a B.S. with high distinction from the Indiana University School of Business, and a J.D., cum laude, from the Indiana University School of Law.

Jim is currently transitioning to retirement.
